Each year we see wedding trends come and go. With social media in the mix trends seem to happen a lot quicker these days and when they do they tend to take off. With all of that being said, here are some fun trends that we are seeing, heading into the summer that I am loving and just had to share with you all!

Bright Colors

It looks like the brighter colors are coming back into style and I am here for it. Be bold in your choices this summer and don’t be afraid to bring your own personal flair. Bright wedding party attire, florals, tableware and candles are all beginning to show up in Summer wedding designs to spice up the vibes and color palette and add brightness and joy to the day. Bright is beautiful this coming season!

Hanging/Overhead Arrangments

Hanging/overhead arrangements have been taking over the scene lately and look like they are a trend that is here to stay. Hanging arrangements can be anything from fun summer florals, ferns and greenery to hanging lights/orbs and even beautiful floral or paper design strands and garlands. What I like about hanging arrangements is that they add a fun and eye catching focal point to your reception space plus, it’s a great way to really bring in your personal style. And, it makes for beautiful pictures! It certainly sticks with the BE BOLD statement we are seeing for Summer wedding trends.

Film Photography

This is a growing trend that we have seen slowly sneaking in over the last few months/years. Over the last few years, everything photography has been digital but lately, couples are loving the nostalgic look of film photography. Couples are starting to incorporate a mix of digital and film photography into their wedding photos. They are also leaning into those nostalgic vibes with the addition of polaroid camera selfie booths/photobooths where guests can take polaroid pictures of themselves and each other enjoying the night. It’s fun and interactive for the guests and takes them back to the good old days.

Floral Patterns & Mis-Match

Florals for your wedding party’s dresses and maybe even groomsmen ties? Yes, please! Florals have made a comeback in a big way and it really is a fun way to add a little refreshing twist to the attire! Mis-matching attire for your wedding party within your color scheme isn’t new, it’s been around for a bit now, but I love seeing the new ways couples are doing it. Mixing patterns with solid colors to your wedding party attire as well is a great way to stir things up. Make it your own and have fun with it!

Colored Glass Elements

Colorful glassware and votives have been making a scene as well and I am absolutely loving it! Adding a pop of color to your table settings, cocktail tables or bar corners through beautiful colored glass goblets, champagne glasses and votive candles is a great way to carry your color palette throughout your wedding design and also add some pizzaz and personality to your wedding design!

Trends come and go and its so fun to see what’s new and exciting! While it can be fun to incorprate the new fads in your wedding design, classic/timeless and elegant never go out of style. Make sure your wedding design represents you two as a couple and is something you know you will still love to see in your wedding photos for years to come. Play with trends or stick with the classics but make sure you make it your own!
