Non-Floral Centerpiece Ideas for Your Wedding
Are you looking for a centerpiece that will make a statement without using flowers? I’m here to offer some fun inspiration! I always enjoy it when couples think outside of the box and want to do something a little different. Not only is it unique, but it can also help tell more about you two as a couple and your love story and can also help save you some money.
When choosing the perfect centerpiece for your wedding, its essential to keep your wedding theme/design and style in mind. This will help you determine which centerpiece option will best complement the overall look of your reception space. Whether you’re going for a romantic vibe or a more laid-back boho-chic style, you can choose from various options. Some examples include lots and lots of candles, old books, potted plants, vintage lanterns, and rustic picture frames filled with pictures of the two of you throughout your years of dating.
For a more modern look, you can use geometric shaped objects like geometric lanterns, planters and candles as your centerpieces. Consider using terrariums filled with succulents, or geometric candle holders with pillar or votive candles. You can also incorporate metallic accents, such as gold, silver, bronze or rose gold, to add some glamour to your tablescape.
If you’re having a winter wedding, you could use snow globes as your centerpieces. Not only can it tie in with your theme, but it can also serve as a fun keepsake for your guests to enjoy. It can also be a great conversation starter around the guest tables. You can also incorporate natural elements, such as pinecones and pine branches. Another winter idea is to incorporate lanterns of different sizes and colors to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Add in some decorative elements, such as fairy lights, holly or hypericum berries, ribbons, dried fruits, fake snow or even ornaments to give the tables a more personal touch.
For an elegant timeless look, you can use vintage candelabras or crystal vases with floating candles or candles in clear or metallic cylinders. Lots of candles in a mix of various heights and vessels can create a soft and romantic feel with a cozy atmosphere. You can place some old books in a centerpiece with some moss draped down them with some soft candle light in votives around the base to create a fun fairy garden vibe. For a more boho-chic vibe, add some pampas grass to an amber glass vase and place some candles around the base. Add some rattan chargers under the plates to really amp up the theme and the style.
To add a fresh twist to your centerpieces, incorporate fresh fruits. Not only do they look beautiful but they smell lovely as well! Citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes are great options to add to any centerpiece. Adding apples or pumpkins/gourds in the Fall is also a great idea! You could also do a fun charcuterie set up in the center of the guests tables in lieu of a traditional centerpiece. Add some yummy meats and cheeses, crackers, crostini, fruits and spreads. Or even a cute dessert display with mini cakes, macarons, cookies, chocolates, etc. Not only is this beautiful but it’s tasty as well and your guests can enjoy it together!
I also love the idea of using driftwood, seashells, rope or coral to create a more beachy nautical vibe. This would be perfect for a destination wedding or a summer beach wedding!
There are plenty of unique and creative non-floral centerpiece ideas to choose from for your wedding. The possibilities are endless! By incorporating your personal style and theme into your centerpieces, you can create a beautiful and memorable tablescape that will impress your guests and enhance your overall style and design of your special day.
