Fun & Unique Guestbook Ideas

Real talk… What would you do with a regular old book with a bunch of guests’ signatures in it? Most likely put it away in a box or on a shelf and not really ever look back on it for many years. There are so many fun new ways to incorporate a “guest book” that can be used in your home for years to come.

Here are some fun & Unique ideas I have seen for guestbook tables

Yard games

Do you like to play Cornhole or Jenga? If so, this would be an excellent idea for you to use for your guest book. Pick some custom corn hole boards or Jenga, and put it at a guestbook table with some pens to have guests write on the blocks or the boards. Then you will see all your guests love and well wishes, every time to break out your games.

Shake It Like a Polaroid Picture

This is a trendy option and a ton of fun to look back on! Place all the things you will need on the guest book table for the guest to take polaroid’s of themselves and then glue them or tape them into a guestbook along with a special note or message. This is a great way for the guests to interact and have some fun all while leaving their mark on your wedding day.

For the Wine/Champagne Lover’s

Are you and your spouse wine or champagne fans? Grab your 3 favorite wines or champagne bottles and label them 1, 5, and 10. Put it on a guestbook table with some chalk or metallic pens and have your guests sign them. Then you will have them to pull out on your 1st, 5th, and 10th anniversary. While you enjoy that bottle of your favorite wine or champagne together, you can read all the messages left by your loved ones and think back on your special day!

For the Record

We’ve seen the record guestbook a few times now and we love it every time! Get a vinyl copy (or 2-3 if you have a large guest count) of your special song (maybe the one you share your first dance to) and a fun old school style record player to display it on. Set it up on your guestbook table with some chalk or metallic pens and a fun sign that says something like, “For The Record, Sign Our Guestbook”. This is a fun way to incorporate your love of music/your favorite song into your wedding day!

Audio Guestbook

This is a new tradition I hope sticks around. You can now rent an old rotary style phone that your guests can pick up the receiver and leave a voice message for the happy couple. Not only will this be fun to go back and listen to but the longer the phone stays out throughout the reception, I am willing to bet the messages get funnier and more interesting. This is so much fun for your guests but also for you to go back and listen to together!

An Initial Letter Block Of Your Last Name

You can find really nice wooden or acrylic letters at most craft stores. Grab the letter that is the first of your new last name together and display it with some colorful markers or pens for guests to leave their mark. This could be displayed on your wall or somewhere in your home after the wedding. Displaying it somewhere in your home will be a regular reminder of your special day.

It doesn’t have to be the same old basic guestbook anymore. Make it fun and something that fits you as a couple. There are no rules for guestbooks so come up with something that you will enjoy as a couple to look back on and also something your guests will have fun with when signing.

Happy Planning <3
