Why Are Videographers A Needed Part Of Wedding Planning?

Let’s talk about videographers. One of the most under-utilized wedding vendors, in my opinion are videographers. However, wedding videographers can provide you with something none of your other vendors can, a live-action version of your wedding day in video format that you can watch for years to come.
Often times, couples tend to omit this service from their list of vendors because they either do not fully understand a videographers importance or because of the extra cost. Your Wedding Planner can help you adjust your budget accordingly to allow for all the services that are important to you and your fiancé. So, talk over this option with your Wedding Planner first.
Your photographer and videographer work along side each other to capture as much of your wedding as possible in their two different mediums. Videography, like photography is a record of the highlights and most important parts of your wedding day. Something to treasure for the rest of your lives together. What if you could go back and hear your husband or wife recite their wedding vows to you again? See your brother-in-law show off his awesome dance moves to that Michael Jackson song? Or relive the moment when you walked down the aisle to the love of your life or shared your first dance together? Watching these moments over again can be really special for you both. My husband, Dan and I actually watch our wedding video back every year on our anniversary. Reliving those precious memories reminds us why we feel in love with each other.

Life can be so unpredictable sometimes and we never want to think about those we love no longer being with us but, this can be another reason to invest in a wedding video. Having your wedding video to go back and see your loved ones smile again, laugh again, dance again or hear their voice again can be priceless when they are gone. These moments will be ones you will cherish more than you know.
When it comes to your wedding memories, the more ways you have to reference them 10 years from now, the better. As a Wedding Planner, I always advise my couples to hire a professional videographer as well as a professional photographer. Having your wedding day etched in time in these two different mediums will be well worth your money spent. Some photography companies actually offer package options that include both photography and videography services so check with your photographer. If your photographer doesn’t offer video services, don’t fret. Trust me, there are lots of amazing videographers in your area who have a talent for capturing your wedding on video. Ask your Wedding Planner who they might recommend as well. Your Wedding Planner can provide you with some quality videography vendors they recommend.
To often, I hear couples say that they regret not having video from their wedding day. Your wedding day is such an important day in your lives so having regrets like that are something I try to help my couples avoid. Videography is something I always advise my couples to book or at least consider when budgeting out their wedding.
Looking back on your wedding day through the lens of a video camera will be well worth the money spent in years to come.
Thank you for stopping by!
