Your invitations set the tone for the entire event, offering guests a sneak peek into the style, theme, and atmosphere you envision for your special day. Whether you choose elegant calligraphy on creamy stationery or a modern, colorful design with playful fonts, each element of the invitation reflects your personal taste and the unique love story you are celebrating. Including important details, such as the venue, dress code, and RSVP information, helps ensure that guests feel prepared and excited to join in the festivities. Ultimately, your wedding invitations are not just a piece of paper; they are a heartfelt invitation to share in the joy and beauty of a day that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Invitation Design Options:

Online invitations offer convenience and a more DIY style approach, often allowing for easy tracking of RSVPs. They are typically more budget-friendly and eco-conscious, making them a great option for those looking to reduce paper waste and costs. Semi-custom invitations provide a balance between personalization and cost-efficiency, offering a range of templates that can be tailored to fit your wedding's theme and colors. Fully custom invitations, on the other hand, give you the freedom to create a one-of-a-kind design that perfectly shares your vision, though they tend to be higher in price due to the nature of the service so it’s best to pick the option that best suites your needs, style and budget.

Invitation Timeline:

When planning your wedding invitations, it's important to consider the timeline. Ideally, save-the-date cards should be sent out six to eight months before the wedding, or eight to twelve months before the wedding for holiday weekends or destination weddings, to give your guests ample time to make travel arrangements, if necessary. Invitations should follow about two to three months before the big day, with an RSVP deadline set for at least three to four weeks before the event date. This allows you time to finalize numbers for your caterer and seating arrangements.

My Recommendations for Invitations:

Here are some recommended invitation vendors/resources that I share with all of my couples:

Online Invitations: Minted.com & BasicInvite.com

Predesigned/Semi Custom Invitations: I Do Invitations and Announcements & Julia Kay Design

Fully Customized Invitations: Elephant Limbo & Amy Elizabeth Artistry

No matter which option you choose, your invitations are a wonderful opportunity to set the stage for your wedding, conveying the love and excitement you wish to share with your guests. Remain authentic as a couple, and everything will come together beautifully!

Happy Planning
