Favorite Wedding Day Items -Wedding Planner Addition

As a wedding planner, I have a few favorite wedding day essentials that I always keep on hand. From ensuring everything runs smoothly to handling unexpected surprises, having a well-stocked kit is crucial and my wedding day kit goes with me to every single wedding day.

Here are a few of my must-haves:

  1. Emergency Sewing Kit: This is indispensable for any last-minute wardrobe malfunctions, from fixing a torn hem to reattaching a stray button.

  2. Portable Steamer: Wrinkles have a way of appearing at the most inconvenient times. A compact steamer can quickly refresh gowns and suits.

  3. Stain Remover Pen/Wipes: Accidents happen, and a stain remover pen or wipe can be a lifesaver for any spills or smudges on clothing.

  4. First Aid Kit: From minor cuts to headaches, a first aid kit can address a variety of small health issues that might arise.

  5. Snacks and Water: Keeping the wedding party energized and hydrated is essential for maintaining a cheerful atmosphere throughout the day so I always keep some extra protein packed snacks and water on hand for my couples and their VIPs.

  6. Extra Phone Chargers & Zip Ties: With all the photos and coordination, phones can drain quickly. Spare chargers keep communication lines open. And zip ties are a wedding planning must have. They are so helpful and convenient in a pinch.

  7. Tissues and Umbrellas: Tissues are an absolute must! I always keep them on hand for any sudden moments of happy tears and always like to pass them out to the parents and wedding party, as well as the couple, before they walk down the aisle. Additionally, I always recommend having an umbrella or Parasol on hand. You never know when the weather might change, and having an umbrella on hand ensures that rain won't dampen anyone's spirits.

  8. Comfortable Shoes: For those moments in between events, a pair of comfortable shoes can be a welcome relief for tired feet so I always recommend slippers, flip flops or sneakers to change into, when needed.

  9. Mints or Gum: Keeping your breath fresh is always a good idea, especially before those all-important vows and close-up photos.

  10. Schedule and Contact Lists: A detailed timeline and list of contacts can help keep everything on track and assist in coordinating with vendors.

These items, help ensure that the big day is as stress-free and joyful as possible for everyone involved. Whether it's a sudden burst of tears or a wardrobe mishap, being prepared with these essentials can make all the difference. By staying organized and prepared, I ensure the day is filled with unforgettable memories, laughter, and love.

Finally, I always keep in mind that every wedding is unique, and flexibility is key. While these essentials cover most scenarios, being adaptable and ready to improvise is equally important. Embodying a calm and reassuring presence helps ease any anxieties the couple or their families might have. After all, a wedding is a celebration of love, and my goal is to create an enchanting, seamless experience that the couple and their guests will cherish for a lifetime.

Happy Planning,
