Why You Should Have A Wedding Website

You may have heard the term Wedding Website being thrown around in the wedding industry and you might be wondering, what is a Wedding Website and why do I need one for my wedding? Today I want to share reasons why you should have a Wedding Website.
Today’s modern age is having everything at your fingertips and one of my favorite tips to share with my couples is how helpful it can be to have a Wedding Website for you and for your guests. They are typically pretty easy to make, very inexpensive or even free of charge and they can help:
✔️Keep details and RSVP’s organized
✔️Give your guests one central place to get their questions answered (and stop the flow of questions from relatives about all the things)
✔️Gives you a place to share info about the two of you and your love story
I promise you will be so relieved when you have all the details in one place for your guests and wedding party. An easy place you can direct everyone to when any questions arise about things like hotel accommodations, transportation, timing and locations, gift registry and dress code. And trust me, questions will definitely come up. Having a website keeps everyone on the same page and gives you a break from having to answer every question over and over again.
Link your hotel room block info to make it easy for guests to reserve their hotel accommodations. Share shuttle information so that guests know they will have a ride to and from the festivities. Share info about the venue and the dress code so that guests know what attire to plan for. You can link your registries o your Wedding Website as well so they are all in one place to make it easy for your guests to click on the links to buy the gifts as well as send them to the location you want them. There is even an FAQ section you can set up for questions and answers you know your friends and family are going to ask like: “Are kids invited?”, “Will the Ceremony be outside"?” or “Will there be an After Party or Post Wedding Brunch?”.
One of my favorite parts of a Wedding Website is the ability to track your RSVPs. I have found that guests are quicker to answer their RSVP’s this way rather than returning the one in the mail! Yes, you read that right. Why would this be? Well, I believe it is because it is so much more convenient for them to quickly click a few buttons than fill out an RSVP card and walk it out to the mailbox. Most people, will put the RSVP card aside with the intention to get back to it later and then tend to forget for a bit to answer. While they are on the website they just get it done. Quick and easy!
Another fun aspect of the RSVP feature is you can also invite the wedding party and family to the rehearsal dinner and any other pre-wedding engagements so when they are RSVPing they will have to answer to all they are invited to as well as see the important info. They can even add it to their phone calendars!
There are a TON of free wedding websites out there, my personal favorite is the Knot they have so many options to choose from and are super easy to use. Below I have listed links from my favorite sites to use to create your Wedding Website.
The Knot, WeddingWire, Minted, Basic Invite, Zola and Joy.
Good luck on your wedding journey and go get started on making that website! 🖤
