My Top Favorite Wedding Blooms
As a Wedding Planner, I get to see so many flowers and I have to say, I definitely don’t hate that. It’s definitely one of the perks of the job. *Wink. Pretty things make me so happy as a person and as a wedding professional so it’s no surprise that beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, and floral decor light me up. To give you a visual of me on a wedding day looking at the beautifully designed floral decor by amazing local florists, open your phone and pull up the emoji with the heart eyes. Yup, that is an accurate depiction of me on a wedding day. Bring me all the pretty blooms!
Of course, I have a few personal favorites that I would love to share with you below to help give you just a little wedding floral inspiration as you plan out your flowers and your wedding.

One of my all time favorite flowers for weddings and honestly, just in general are Roses. Roses are classic and timeless and extremely versatile. There are so many different verities of roses to choose from too which makes them an even better option for your wedding! I personally love English Roses, Tea Roses and Garden Roses but there are so many different types out there. Roses can come in tons of different colors which means they can complement just about any wedding color scheme imaginable so the possibilities are endless. Roses are elegant and can be used all year round too which makes them, in my book a Wedding Flower All-Star!

Next, I have to give props to Dahlia’s. These attention grabbing flowers make any Bridal Bouquet pop! They are big, beautiful and colorful and their layered petals create the most mesmerizing look. You just can’t look away. You can easily get hypnotized by these gorgeous. These flowers are often used for late Summer and Fall weddings because they tend to start to bloom in the summertime, usually around July. These beauties can vary in size but most are big, full and bold and even just one or two incorporated into your bouquet and decor will make a big statement!

Of course, you know we have to mention the Peony. Peonies have a very short lifespan, typically only available May through July, but they certainly do not disappoint! Peonies are large and I like to think, fluffy meaning that like the dahlia’s, only a few are needed to make a big impact. They are beautiful and delicate have a super romantic vibe which makes them perfect for Spring time weddings! These beautiful flowers tend to be a favorite among brides and wedding professionals alike.

If you like a bit of sophisticated drama, consider the Anemone. Not to be confused with the Sea dwelling plant that Nemo lives in, this unique looking flower is a show stopper. It has a distinct black eye in it’s center that makes for some eye catching pops of drama in any bouquet. They are often used for weddings in the Fall or early Spring as they tend to be in season October through May. Add just a few of these beauties to your bouquet to make it really stand out and grab attention.

Last but certainly never least, my number one favorite wedding flower, the Calla Lily. Bet you didn’t see that one coming. Hahaha! These classic, elegant and sophisticated flowers have always been a favorite of mine. Their long stems and sleek tubular petals create a sense of luxury and grandeur. Typically a Spring time flower however, most florists are able to find Calla Lilies all year round which makes them perfect for weddings in any season. They come in multiple different colors as well from classic white to pinks, yellows, reds and even moody deep purple. Use just a few Calla Lilies in your decor to add touches of luxe throughout your floral display or bunch them together in one bouquet or centerpiece to create a clean, sophisticated look.
There you have it. My top favorite wedding blooms! Everyone is different and your flowers should be a representation of your personal style, your wedding style and/or your couple style. I hope this helped inspire you to start thinking about your perfect wedding bouquet and the flowers you want to include in your special day!
Happy Planning!
Love,
Naticia
