The Hitched Home Try- On Experience
Shifting gears a little bit over here. This one is more for the Grooms. But ladies, read on if you want to learn some more about wedding bands for your man, or even for yourself.
I recently had the opportunity to get to know all about Hitched, a Philadelphia-based wedding band business turning the way we shop for our wedding bands on it’s head. I was able to experience their home try-on process and I wanted to share my experience with you!
Hitched is a wedding band company created by a husband and wife team. The idea for the business was born when owners Chris & Stephanie were searching for their own wedding bands back in 2018. They found the current way of shopping for their wedding bands to be lack luster and inconvenient, so they decided to change the game. Hitched offers ring options in modern metals like Tungsten and Wood as well as precious metals like Gold, rose gold, white gold and Platinum. The men’s rings range in price from $149 up to $999, which allows them to offer affordable options for every Groom and every budget. For the ladies, you can shop a simple line of gold and platinum bands as well as diamond eternity bands that range in price from $249 to $1,299.
Hitched currently has two showrooms. One in Philadelphia, PA and one in Chicago, IL. You can visit their showrooms to view all of their beautifully crafted rings in person or you can check out their home try-on program.
The home try-on program is geared more towards Grooms (although they do have some simple women’s bands available) and allows your Groom to view and try on five different rings of his choice in the comfort of your home. So, here is how it works.
First, visit TryHitched.com - Here your Groom can select 5 different rings in his anticipated ring size to try on at home. If he doesn’t know his ring size yet, Hitched recommends either going with the average ring size of 9, ordering a mix of sizes, or selecting the largest size to ensure you are able to get the ring on your finger.
The rings will be delivered to your house within 6-8 business days of placing your home try-on order. Keep the shipping box!
You have 5 days to try the rings on in the comfort of your home and view the quality, colors and styles in person. Hitched even includes some information on how to select and size your ring perfectly as well as a ring sizer so that you can find the perfect fit.
Hitched will send you a return portal link where you can select your preferred ring style, color and size and order your ring right online.
Then you simply put the rings back in the box they came in and send them back with the prepaid label.
That’s it. The home try-on is completely free and gives you a great opportunity to try on rings in person, in the comfort of your own home without going to an actual store. No pushy sales people. No pressure.
Once you select your ring from the home try on and order it through the return portal, your ring will be shipped directly to you in less than 3 weeks and comes in a black velvet ring box, ready to go for wedding day!
It’s simple. It’s easy. And, it’s fun! Plus, during a global pandemic, it makes ring shopping much safer. It’s a win all the way around. ;)
The 5 Rings I got to see in person during my home try on. A Classic 14K Gold Band, a 14K Flat White Gold Band, a Classic Brushed Rose Tungsten band, a Flat Satin Center Natural Tungsten band and, a Beveled Brushed Black Tungsten band. My personal favorite was the Beveled Brushed Black Tungsten band.
